Monday…

Oct. 17…The HURRICANE RELIEF collection at The Mills at the corner of Washington and Darby Streets will conclude on Monday. Items may be dropped off on Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Oct. 17…The WATERCOLOR ARTISTS GUILD of Trigg, Lyon and Caldwell counties will meet Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Princeton Art Guild.

Oct. 17…The Caldwell County Primary School SBDM CURRICULUM/INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES COMMITTEE will meet on Monday at 2:45 p.m. at the school.

Oct. 17…Community Disciples hold TUTORING for primary and elementary school students on Thursdays and Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Community Center.

Oct. 17…PRINCETON CITY COUNCIL meets Monday at 5 p.m. at city hall.

Oct. 17…EXERCISE CLASSES are offered free Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Northside Baptist Church Hatler Building.

Oct. 17…The Caldwell County BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet Monday at the Caldwell County Elementary School. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. for dinner and a meeting with the School-Based Decision Making Council. The regular monthly board meeting will follow at 7 p.m. in the Elementary School library.

Oct. 17…The Pennyrile Prophets Christian Motorcyclist meeting is Monday at 6 p.m. at Ryan’s in Hopkinsville.

Oct. 17…FREDONIA CITY COUNCIL meets Monday at 7 p.m. at city hall.

Oct. 17…An ADULT AGRICULTURE CLASS will be held Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Ed Tech Center in Marion. The topic Monday in the first of a 10-week beef series is Herd Health with guest speaker Dr. Brian Williams.

Tuesday…

Oct. 18…Light Exercise for Senior Citizens is scheduled in the Caldwell County Hospital basement Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. The class is free and open to all interested persons.

Oct. 18…Story Hour will be held at the George Coon Library at 10 a.m. Tuesday for children ages preschool through kindergarten.

Oct. 18…Princeton Rotary Club meets Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at the Majestic House.

Oct. 18…Caldwell County RHYMING POETRY SOCIETY will meet Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the George Coon Public Library. Tammy White will present the program. The group welcomes visitors.

Oct. 18…The TITLE I AND IDEA-B FALL PARENT MEETING will be held Tuesday at Caldwell County Elementary School. Chili is served from 5-6 p.m. in the school cafeteria with the meeting to begin at 6 p.m. The meeting is for parents of students in primary, elementary and middle school. Child care will be provided.

Oct. 18…A WEIGHT WATCHER group meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Housing Authority Community Building (301 Knob St.) in Eddyville.

Oct. 18…The Caldwell County REPUBLICAN WOMEN meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Majestic House.

Oct. 18-19…The Community Disciples hold STUDY HALL for high school and middle school students on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Community Center.

Oct. 18…AL-ANON, for people affected by someone else’s drinking, meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pennyroyal Mental Health Center on McGoodwin Avenue. For information, call 365-1413

Oct. 18…The INSTRUMENTS OF PEACE COMMUNITY HANDBELL ENSEMBLE will hold an organizational meeting and rehearsal on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church.

Wednesday…

Oct. 19…The Princeton-Caldwell County CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Board of Directors meets Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at Atmos Energy. A membership drive begins at the meeting and will be Oct. 19-21.

Oct. 19…Living Hope Pregnancy Care Ministry offers a PARENTING CLASS each Wednesday, 10-11:30 a.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Community Building at 108 W. Green St. Persons who want more information can call Cheryl Bowers at 365-3855.

Oct. 19…The Princeton Kiwanis Club meets at noon Wednesday at the Majestic House.

Oct. 19…The Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee will meet Wednesday at the Electric Plant Board at 4 p.m. Discussion will center on the possibility of adopting a unit. Anyone interested is invited to attend.

Oct. 19…The Caldwell County WEIGHT WATCHERS meet Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Pennyrile Regional Training Center, 20001 Hwy. 62W, with weigh-in at 4:30 p.m.

Thursday…

Oct. 20, 21 & 22…A WASTE TIRE AMNESTY collection for Caldwell County will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the state highway garage on the Old Fredonia Road.

Oct. 20…The PENNYRILE BOARD OF REALTORS board meeting is scheduled Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Princeton Golf and Country Club. Following a brief meeting, a continuing education class law course will begin at 6 p.m.

Oct. 20…DAWSON SPRINGS VFW POST 5359 offers BINGO Thursday. The Post is located off SR 109 South (Hospital Road) on Lee Wilson Drive. Earlybird games begin at 6:30 p.m. with regular Bingo at 7 p.m.

Oct. 20…The Caldwell County SPORTSMAN CLUB will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at George Coon Library.

•Plan Ahead•

Oct. 21…A PRETTY IN PINK TEA will be held at the George Coon Library at 10 a.m. Friday to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. The event is sponsored by the Pennyrile District Health Department. Speakers are scheduled. Persons who plan to attend should register with the health department at 365-6571 by Monday, Oct. 17.

Oct. 21…The PENNYRILE WESTPARK INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY will meet on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Lyon County Judicial Center meeting room.

Oct. 21…A Red Cross BLOOD DRIVE is planned on Friday from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at the Wal-Mart parking lot. No appointments are necessary for this blood mobile event.

Oct. 21 and 22…Eddyville First Baptist Church will show Left Behind: World at War Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Admission is free. Call 388-7693 for more information.

Oct. 22 and 23…Pegasus Productions will present a METAPHYSICAL SYMPOSIUM and PSYCHIC FAIR on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at JR’s Executive Inn in Paducah.

Oct. 24…The Caldwell County Democratic Woman's Club will hold the annual family picnic, Monday at 5:15 p.m. at the Courthouse. All members and their families are urged to attend the potluck event. The club provides meats and drinks.

Oct. 25…The Caldwell County Extension Council will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Extension Office. The District Board will meet immediately following.

Nov. 1…A DIABETES SELF MANAGEMENT course is scheduled for four Mondays in November, beginning Nov. 7. The free classes will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Caldwell County Cooperative Extension Office. Persons interested should call the Caldwell County Health Department at 365-6571 by Nov. 1 to register.

Nov. 5…A CEMETERY CLEANING is planned on Saturday at the Jane Nichols Cemetery. The work is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and will be rescheduled if rain. All interested persons are welcome to participate.
