Darrin Matthews, 42, of Princeton, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. at 11000 Dawson Road, Princeton, of asphyxiation due to a car falling on him.
A member of Green Hills Baptist Church and a mechanic, he was born June 23, 1964, a son of the late Duane Harley and Sandra Ericson Matthews.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Ruthene Leibfried Matthews; a son, Darrin Michael Matthews Jr. of Dawson Springs; two stepsons, Randall Banister of Jacksonville, Fla., and Robert JoLee Jones of Princeton; three stepdaughters, Rene Banister of Jacksonville, Fla., Charity Oliver and Lacey Jones, both of Princeton; two brothers, Jay Matthews of Maupras, La., and Troy Matthews of Illinois; and three sisters, Melody Benoitt of Illinois, Monica Eastman of St. Amant, La., and Michele Smith of Gonzales, La.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. at Eddy Creek Cemetery with the Rev. James Gray officiating.
