June 21…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SENIORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement.

June 21…The FREDONIA CLOTHES CLOSET will be open Thursday from 1-3 p.m. at the Fredonia First Baptist Church Family Life Center. (Old Fredonia School, use double door entrance at the back of the building.) Any person in need of clothing is welcome.

June 21…The Caldwell County Free Clinic opens at 5 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Central Presbyterian Church.

June 21…Special services are scheduled at Gospel Temple Pentecostal Church. Bro Alvin Swan of Jonesboro, Ark., will be guest speaker for services at 7 p.m. nightly Thursday through Saturday. The public is invited.

June 23…A Poker Run is planned Saturday beginning at noon from Dawson Pointe Nursing Facility, 213 Water St., Dawson Springs. All proceeds benefit the Residents’ Christmas Fund. Food will be on sale at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded. Entry fee is $10 per hand. To register, persons can call Sarah Mitchell, Social Services Director, at 270-797-2025.

June 24…The 165th HOMECOMING for Glenn’s Chapel United Methodist Church of Eddyville is planned on Sunday. Stillwater from Hopkinsville will present a concert starting at 10 a.m. A potluck is planned at noon. All persons are welcome.

June 25…The Princeton ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD’s DIRECTORS will meet Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the Plant Board office.

June 26…It’s SCAVENGER HUNT and REFRESHMENTS DAY on Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for participants of the Summer Reading Program at George Coon Public Library. It will be at Big Springs Park.

June 27…EVANGELIST BILL SAYE will speak at a YOUTH RALLY on Wednesday at the Butler Building. The presentation starts at 11:30 a.m. with a free lunch. Saye is featured in revival at Pleasant Grove June 24-29.

June 28…Progressive Agriculture Safety Day sponsored by Caldwell, Lyon and Crittenden County Conservation Districts will be held at the UK Research and Education Center from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. If you have not registered yet you may still do so at the conservation district office at 503 Parkway Drive in Princeton. A late registration fee of $10 covers lunch, snacks, t-shirt and a take home packet which includes a bicycle helmet. June 28…A CLASS REUNION PLANNING meeting is scheduled on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Majestic House for the Class of 1952. The group is planning the 55-year reunion.

July 7…The FARMERSVILLE SCHOOL REUNION is scheduled Saturday at the Majestic House Restaurant. Doors open for registration at 10 a.m. with a business meeting at 11 a.m. and a buffet style lunch ($11) at noon. For additional information, persons can call 270-545-3955.

July 10-11…Pennyroyal Hospice will be holding a volunteer training session on Tuesday and Wednesday in the conference room of the Pennyroyal Hospice offices at 101 W. 18th St., Hopkinsville.
