July 7…FARMERSVILLE SCHOOL REUNION is scheduled Saturday at the Majestic House Restaurant. Doors open for registration at 10 a.m. with a business meeting at 11 a.m. and a buffet style lunch ($11) at noon. For additional information, persons can call 270-545-3955.

July 7…The STANLEY WALKER BAND will play each Saturday night through Sept. 1 at the Kuttawa Center Pavilion at 7 p.m. There is no charge.

July 7…New Direction will be in concert Saturday evening at 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. The FREE CONCERT will feature patriotic, contemporary and southern gospel music. The group, based in Glasgow, offers a Celebration of Independence in song.

July 7…A FIREWORKS SHOW is planned with Thunder at Eddy Bay on Saturday night. The fireworks are scheduled at 9 p.m. Booths setups and live music start at 3 p.m.

Sunday…

July 8…Liberty Cemetery will hold its annual homecoming/memorial service at the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church building on Sunday. Bro. Ray Board will bring the message at 11 a.m. with a potluck lunch to follow. There will be singing in the afternoon beginning about 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

July 8…The CONCERNED CITIZENS OF THE DOTSON PARK NEIGHBORHOOD will meet Sunday at 4 p.m. in Dotson Park. The next clean up day is planned July 14.

Monday…

July 9…The Caldwell County BAND BOOSTERS will meet on Monday at 6 p.m. in the CCHS Band Room. It is a mandatory meeting for all marchers and parents. Those attending are asked to bring finger foods.

July 9…Living Hope Pregnancy Care Ministry offers a PARENTING/PREGNANCY CLASS each Monday from 6:15-7:30 p.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Community Building at 108 W. Green St. Persons who want more information can call Tajuana Davis at 388-0861.

July 9…A weekly BIBLE STUDY will be held by “the least of these Ministries” on Monday at 7 p.m. at Terry’s Barber Shop on Main Street. All persons of all ages are welcome.

July 9…The Kuttawa CITY COUNCIL will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in City Hall.

Tuesday…

July 10…The Caldwell County Fiscal Court meets Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the courthouse.

July 10-11…Pennyroyal Hospice will be holding a volunteer training session on Tuesday and Wednesday in the conference room of the Pennyroyal Hospice offices at 101 W. 18th St., Hopkinsville. The class will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. There is no charge for the training and lunch will be provided. Both days are required to complete the class. To register, or if you have any questions regarding becoming a Hospice Volunteer, you can call 885-6428 or toll free at 888-611-0121 and ask for the volunteer coordinator.

July 10…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SENIORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement.

July 10…Princeton Rotary Club meets Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at the Majestic House.

July 10…A special meeting of the Caldwell County ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNCIL is planned Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the school library. Principal selection is the topic.

July 10…The Caldwell County High School CLASS OF 1988 willl hold a REUNION PLANNING MEETING on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The meeting will be at Pagliai’s Pizza in Princeton. July 10…NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), a support group for family and friends of persons with a mental illness, will meet on Tuesday, 6-7:30 p.m. at Western State Hospital’s Training Center (on top of hill, around back). July 10…WOODMEN OF THE WORLD LODGE #9 will have a business meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Area 2 Fire and Rescue Center. Meal and drinks provided.

July 10…Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 8-11 will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Kuttawa Harbor Marina.

July 11…A pesticide container Rinse and Return program is planned on Wednesday from 8 to 11 a.m. at Agri-Chem in Princeton. It is a project of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Caldwell County Extension Office.

July 11…The RADIANT RED HATS will meet Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Pagliai’s.

July 11…The Princeton Kiwanis Club meets Wednesday at noon at the Majestic House Restaurant.

July 12…The Caldwell County EXTENSION HOMEMAKERS COUNCIL summer luncheon will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Caldwell County Extension Office. Paid reservations are due by 4 p.m. on Monday,, July 9. Persons can contact the Extension Office for more details.

July 13…The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center will host a blood drive with Wal-Mart Friday. The bloodmobile will be parked in front of Wal-Mart from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; no appointment is needed. For more information, call the WKRBC toll free at 1-888-684-9296.

July 18…LYON COUNTY FISCAL COURT is scheduled to meet on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the courthouse. This is a week later that the regularly scheduled meeting date.

July 23…An American Red Cross blood drive is planned Monday from noon until 6 p.m. at the Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church located at 303 Cassidy Street in Fredonia.

July 25…The CALDWELL/LYON PARTNERSHIP will meet on Wednesday at 8 a.m. at Echo Charlies (Eddy Creek/Marina Resort) in Lyon County.
