July 19…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SENIORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement.

July 19…The FREDONIA CLOTHES CLOSET will be open Thursday from 1-3 p.m. at the Fredonia First Baptist Church Family Life Center. (Old Fredonia School, use double door entrance at the back of the building.) Any person in need of clothing is welcome.

Aug. 11…The Caldwell/Lyon County Cattleman’s Association and Caldwell/Fredonia YFA will present a Farm Day on Saturday in Elbert and Linda Bennett’s hay field at the intersection of Hwy. 91 and Hwy. 70 in Fredonia. Fencing and GPS are the primary topics. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with speakers at 9 a.m.

Aug. 11…The annual Miss Black Patch Princess and Junior Miss Black Patch Beauty Contest will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Butler Auditorium in Princeton. Entries are now being taken for the pageants which are open to girls age 8-11 and 12-15 respectively. Applications are now available at Ziobro Weddings and Formals, 219 East Main St., after 3 p.m. and Farmers Bank, 111 W.
