Today…

Dec. 5…The Princeton Kiwanis Club meets Wednesday at noon at the Majestic House Restaurant.

Dec. 5…The Caldwell County Primary School SBDM SCHOOL RELATIONS COMMITTEE meets Wednesday at 2.50 p.m. at the school.

Dec. 5…The Caldwell County PRIMARY SCHOOL SBDM COUNCIL meets Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the school.

Thursday…

Dec. 6…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SENIORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement. The activity is free.

Dec. 6…The FREDONIA CLOTHES CLOSET is open Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. at the Fredonia First Baptist Church Family Life Center. (Old Fredonia School, use double door entrance at the back of the building.) Any person in need of clothing is welcome. However, the clothes closet is not accepting clothing at this time.

Dec. 6…The Caldwell County Free Clinic opens at 5 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Central Presbyterian Church.

Dec. 6…The American Red Cross will hold a COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE at Princeton First Baptist Church on Thursday from noon to 6 p.m.

Dec. 6…The Village Homemakers Club will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Patti's for the annual Christmas meeting.

Dec. 6…The Caldwell County HISTORICAL SOCIETY will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the George Coon Library. Sam Koltinsky is the featured speaker.

Friday…

Dec. 7…A holiday/grand opening open house is planned for Friday, Dec. 7, at the office of District Judge James R. Redd. The event will be from 8 to 9 a.m. Judge Redd’s new office in Princeton is at 108 W. Main St.

Dec. 7…The ADSMORE CHRISTMAS CANDLELIGHT TOUR is Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Adsmore Museum.

Saturday…

Dec. 8…A CEMETERY CLEANUP is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at the Blue family cemetery on Skinframe Creek Road off Ky. 91 North, near the old Elkhorn Tavern site. The Caldwell County Cemetery Board invites all interested volunteers to participate.

Dec. 8…Woodmen of the World Adult Lodge 92 and Youth 815 will have BREAKFAST WITH SANTA on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Area Fire and Rescue Training Center on U.S. 62-West.

Dec. 8…Cookies for a cause, a fund-raiser for the Caldwell County Free Clinic, Inc. is planned on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tourist Welcome Center.

Dec. 8…SOUTHERN CRUISERS RIDING CLUB CHAPTER 440 PENNYRILE will meet on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Caldwell County EOC building, 102 Northfield Drive.

Dec. 8…Holiday Gift Showcase at Green Turtle Bay Resort in Grand Rivers is planned Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10-4, and Sunday, Dec. 9, from 1-4. A variety of merchandise is available. Activities for the kids include Santa and a kids’ only secret shopping room where all gifts for parents are just $3.

Sunday…

Dec. 9…The Christmas Home Tour, sponsored by the Princeton Business and Professional Women's Club, will be held Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Homes featured are Bill and Renee Clift at 15002 Marion Road; Miss McLain at 10557 South Jefferson St.; Rick and Bebby Lewis at 313 Muirfield Dr.; Mike and Amy Littlejohn at 2175 Grooms Lane; and the Princeton Art Guild. Refreshments will be served at the Art Guild. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at any of the homes or the Art Guild.

Dec. 9…The Community Christmas Concert is planned Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Princeton. Anyone involved in a choir, ensemble, solo, children's group or instrumental who would like to participate is welcome and should contact Jenny Franke at 365-1050 or jenjo664@yahoo.com by Wednesday, Dec. 5. In addition, Dane Hodges from First Baptist will be leading a community chorus which will be singing the Hallelujah Chorus and an additional piece accompanied by the community handbells. The concert is a fund raiser for the HANDS program, providing infant car seats to local needy families.

Dec. 9…A REVIVE PRAYER WALK is planned at Caldwell County High School on Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. This program of prayer for the local schools is nondenominational and open to all ages. Prayer walks are scheduled monthly. For information, persons can contact Bro. Bobby D. Cotton at 365-9027 or 625-8274.

Monday…

Dec. 10…Living Hope Pregnancy Care Ministry offers a PARENTING/PREGNANCY CLASS each Monday from 6:15-7:30 p.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Community Building at 108 W. Green St. Persons who want more information can call Tajuana Davis at 388-0861.

Dec. 10…The Kuttawa CITY COUNCIL will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in City Hall.

Tuesday…

Dec. 11…The Caldwell County Fiscal Court meets Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the courthouse.

Dec. 11…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SENIORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement.

Dec. 11…Princeton Rotary Club meets Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at the Majestic House.

Plan ahead…

Dec. 12…The RADIANT RED HATS will meet on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at 200 Franklin Place. Hostess is Rachel Ross. Those attending are asked to bring an ornament to exchange.

Dec. 14…The Wetheads swimming group of Trover Sports Center meets Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Pagliai's Restaurant. Susan and Joe Campbell host the meeting.
