Sunday…

March 16…A Caldwell County Sportsman Club membership TRAPSHOOT is scheduled on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the sportsman range on U.S. 62-East.

March 16…A reception honoring Bro. J. Bill and Ginny Jones will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

March 16…CELEBRATE RECOVERY, a Christian 12-step program for addiction co-dependency, any other hurts, habits and hangups is planned Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in the Northside Baptist Church Sanctuary. A meal is served and the group extends a welcome to all interested.

Monday…

March 17…The PRINCETON CITY COUNCIL is scheduled to meet on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Tourist Welcome Center, adjacent to City Hall.

March 17…Living Hope Pregnancy Care Ministry offers a PARENTING/PREGNANCY CLASS each Mon­day from 6:15-7:30 p.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Com­­munity Building at 108 W. Green St. Persons who want more in­formation can call Tajuana Davis at 388-0861.

March 17…The DONALDSON CREEK CONSERVANCY DISTRICT annual meeting will be Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the small courtroom at the Courthouse.

March 17…The LAKES AREA GOP CLUB meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the Lyon County Library. Plans for the 2008 calendar will be discussed. All visitors are welcome.

March 17…The Caldwell County BOARD OF EDUCA­TION meets Monday at 7 p.m. in the Board meeting room at the Butler Annex on West Washington Street.

Tuesday…

March 18…The Caldwell County Conser­vation District will give away bluebird boxes to the public on Tuesday. Caldwell County residents may receive a free bluebird house by going into the Princeton Conservation District office, located at 503 Parkway Drive. The giveaway will begin at 9 a.m. (no early birds please!) and will run until the houses are gone.

March 18…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SEN­IORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement. The activity is free.

March 18…Princeton Ro­ta­ry Club meets Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at the Majestic House.

March 18…Caldwell County’s REPUBLICAN WO­MEN’S CLUB meets Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Majestic Steak House. Rachael McCubbin from Sen. Jim Bunning’s office will be the guest speaker. Visitors are always welcome.

March 18…The Caldwell County Extension Council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Caldwell County Extension Office. The Extension District Board will meet immediately following.

Plan Ahead…

March 20…SAFETY TRAININGS for the 4-H SHOOTING SPORTS TEAM will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Caldwell County Extension Office and on Thursday, March 27, at the UK Research and Education Center. Anyone that would like to participate must be 9 years old as of Jan. 1, 2008, and must attend both of the trainings. Persons can call the Extension Office at 365-2787 for more information.

March 21…Christ Tabernacle Church will have a catfish supper Friday from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $8 per adult and $4 per child (ages 3-11). The menu includes catfish, hush puppies, white beans, coleslaw, cookie and drink.

March 22…A CALDWELL COUNTY BAND BBQ/COOKOUT is planned on Saturday from 9 a.m. until sellout by the BP station at the stoplight on U.S. 62-West.

March 22…Post 116 American Legion and Auxiliary will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt for children under 12 years of age on Saturday at the Legion Building on Cadiz Road. Hot dogs will be served at noon with the egg hunt to begin at 1 p.m.

March 23…An EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE is planned Sunday at Princeton’s Second Baptist Church with a service at 7:30 a.m. followed by breakfast, Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 10:45 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

March 29…The SW Regional Business and Professional Women’s Club will meet Saturday at 10 a.m. at Pagliai’s Restaurant for the annual meeting. The Young Careerist Speak-Off will be held.

March 29…The ROWLAND CEMETERY regular quarterly meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the cemetery office. All interested persons are welcome.

March 31…Caldwell County Democratic Woman’s Club will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Pagliai’s Restaurant. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.

March 31…A CLASS REUNION PLANNING MEETING will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. at Pagaliai’s Pizza for the Caldwell County Class of 1988. For information, persons can call 365-6609.
