A county man was jailed for DUI and other offenses after leading Princeton police on a short pursuit Sunday afternoon.
Kerry D. Wimberly, 41, of Eureka Road, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license, speeding, and fleeing or evading.
According to police reports, officers initially attempted to stop the 2004 Chevrolet Wimberly was driving for traffic violations.
Wimberly, though, refused to stop, police said. After a short pursuit, officers took him into custody on Ky. 293 North at Princeton-Olney Road.
He was lodged in the county jail.
• Rodney L. Franklin, 45, of Alexander Street, Dawson Springs, was arrested at 2:33 p.m. Sunday on a DUI charge.
Officers stopped the 1994 Ford Franklin was driving after observing it weaving in the roadway.
Officers determined he was impaired and took him into custody.
A passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old Randy L. Galloway, of Galloway Road in Dawson Springs, was also taken into custody, on a charge of alcohol intoxication.
Both were lodged in the county jail.
• At 1:40 a.m. Sunday, officers arrested and jailed Ronald J. Carter, 23, of Colfax, La., on a charge of operating on a suspended license.
Police determined Carter’s license had been suspended after stopping the 2000 Ford he was driving for traffic violations.
• Webster B. Wallace, 37, of Hillview Court, was arrested at 8:58 a.m. Friday on warrants charging him with fourth-degree assault, terroristic threatening and intimidating a participant in the legal process.
The charges, police said, stemmed from incidents on March 7 and March 10.
On March 7, Hillview Court resident Roger Lashley reported that Wallace had physically assaulted him and threatened him.
On March 10, Lashley reported that Wallace came to his residence and again threatened him if he followed through with criminal charges.
Wallace was taken into custody on the warrants and lodged in the county jail.
• At 4:06 a.m. Friday, officers arrested and jailed Michael D. Beyer, 24, of Wartrace, Tenn., on warrants charging him with nine counts of theft by deception and one count of second-degree forgery.
According to the warrants, Beyer used fictitious information to open a checking account at Farmers Bank, then issued several checks from the account without having sufficient funds to cover the checks.
• Christopher G. Quick, 29, of Lake Street, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Monday on a charge of violating a Kentucky EPO/DVO.
He was observed at a Varmint Trace residence where the other party involved in the emergency protective order/domestic violence order was located, police said.
Quick was taken into custody and jailed.
• Police are investigating a vandalism report from a West Young Circle resident.
Dallas Ward made the report at 11:30 a.m. Monday, telling officers that someone damaged her 1999 Pontiac sometime between 9:45 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 a.m. Monday, while it was parked at her residence.
