J.D. Wilson was named Citizen of the Year by the Princeton Kiwanis Club at its noon meeting Wednesday. The award has been presented annually since 1933.
Tammie Sanders and Linda Bennett were guest presenters of the award, praising Wilson for his numerous civic endeavors, including work on the Wilson-Blair African-American School, the Let’s Paint the Town project, cemetery cleaning efforts, service with the Community Disciples organization, and work with the school system and his church.
