Cocaine charge filed in Eddyville PD probe

A recent Eddyville Police Department investigation in­to underage drinking at a Hayden Drive residence led to an Eddyville man’s arrest on drug charges, police said this week.

Sgt. Jaime Green said officers received a tip at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, May 17, that underage drinking was taking place at 108B Hayden Drive.

After speaking with all parties involved, officers arrested 23-year-old Nathan Joyce of Eddyville for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, first degree (cocaine), unlawful transaction with a minor, second degree, and two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor, third degree.

Joyce was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. Officers were assisted by Kentucky State Police.

• At 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, officers stopped Phillip Cooper of Kuttawa, who was known to have an active bench warrant against him.

Cooper was arrested on the bench warrant, issued out of Crittenden County for theft by deception.

• At 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, officers were dispatched to 108 Woodrow St. in reference to a domestic in progress.

After investigating, officers arrested and jailed 37-year-old William Thomas of Eddyville for assault, fourth degree.

• At 8:45 p.m. Thursday, May 15, officers were called to the area of 300 Knob St. in reference to an unknown individual knocking on doors.

After investigating, officers arrested 51-year-old James C. Carnell of Marion for third-degree criminal trespass and alcohol intoxication in a public place. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

• At noon Tuesday, May 13, officers stopped 35-year-old Linn Rudolph Jr. of Eddyville for a standard traffic violation.

After investigating, officers arrested Rudolph for three bench warrants from Livingston, Hopkins and Henderson counties.

Each warrant was issued for theft by deception. Rudolph was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
