A.C. Ramey Jr., 83, of Kuttawa, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 7:15 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

A member of Eddyville United Methodist Church, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving in World War II. He was a son of the late Avery C. and Thelma Holloway Ramey.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Terrell Ramey in 2006; and a sister, Virginia Bell Glass.

Survivors include three sons, Lloyd Ramey, Tom Ramey and Kent Ramey, all of Kuttawa; five grandchildren Jed, Seth, Loran, Channing and Douglas Ramey; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hale Ramey and Tony Ramey, both of Eddy­ville, and H.C. Beck of Princeton; four sisters, Mary Smith, Ethel Faulkner and Ann Dunning, all of Eddyville; and Linda Williamson of Princeton.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 2, at 1 p.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville. The Rev. Jack Larwa will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Hick­ory Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
