Gary C. Baker, 81, of Prin­ce­ton, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. at Western Kentucky Veterans Center at Hanson, following a long illness.

A World War II Navy veteran, retired manager of Kentucky Stone Company, and member of First Baptist Church, Princeton Elks and American Legion, he was born Nov. 13, 1926, in Christian County, a son of the late James and Gertrude Gary Baker,

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Brinton.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Crowder Baker; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Laura Baker of Owensboro, Bryant and Libby Baker of Charlotte, N.C. and Joe and Lisa Baker of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Gary Beth and Nicky Baker of Fredonia; nine grandchildren, Mary Beth Baker, Allen Baker, Maurine Allen, Greg Baker, Andrea Gutierrez, Emma Baker, C.C. Baker, Nan Baker and Olivia Baker; and two great-grandchildren, Bryant Allen and Cora Allen.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 3, at 2:30 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

The Rev. Tom Hughes will officiate.

Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
