A disturbance at a Maple Avenue residence Thursday morning led to the arrests of four Princeton residents and an Eddyville man, Princeton police said.
Jessica L. Hawkins, 22, of North Cave Street, Cruz C. Burkes, 22, of East Fairview Avenue, Eddyville, Charity M. Kenady, 28, of Baldwin Avenue, Harvey R. Wilson Jr., 26, of North Cave Street, and Cindy L. Swyter, 22, of Maple Avenue, were arrested in connection with a disturbance complaint at 1001 Maple Ave. at about 4 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Investigating officers determined that Kenady had transported Burkes to Swyter’s residence, where he met up with Hawkins.
Burkes and Hawkins then reportedly forced entry into the residence and assaulted Swyter and Wilson, who were inside.
Burkes was charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault and alcohol intoxication.
Hawkins was charged with complicity to commit burglary, first degree, and fourth-degree assault.
Kenady was charged with complicity to commit burglary, first degree, and possession of an open container of alcohol.
Swyter, who reportedly attempted to drive away from the residence while intoxicated, was charged with DUI.
Wilson was charged with fourth-degree assault.
Police lodged all five in the Caldwell County Jail.
• Police arrested an East Shephardson Street man for fourth-degree assault after responding to a disturbance complaint at his residence Wednesday.
Frankie C. Wright, 36, was arrested and jailed at 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
The victim, Wright’s fiancée, told officers that they had been involved in an argument when Wright struck her on the side of the head with his hand.
• Stephanie N. Hudson, 27, of Travis Road, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of operating on a suspended license.
Officers who stopped the 1995 Chevrolet she was driving determined that her Indiana license was suspended. She was jailed.
• An Eagon Street man was arrested on a contempt of court charge Tuesday after officers responded to a disturbance complaint at his residence.
Officers were dispatched to the home of 23-year-old Adam Andrews at about 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Andrews’ wife told officers that he was intoxicated and breaking things in the residence.
Officers determined Andrews was intoxicated, a violation of the conditions of his bond.
After confirming the bond conditions with the issuing judge, officers charged Andrews with contempt of court (violation of bond conditions) and took him into custody. He was lodged in the county jail.
• At 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers served Caldwell County indictment warrants on three individuals in the county jail.
Jeffery Jackson, 26, of Fairview Church Road, was charged with first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Joseph Eugene Robinson, 49, of Cox Street, was charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy.
Anthony D. Wilson, 21, of West Green Street, was charged with first- and second-degree fleeing and evading, first-degree wanton endangerment and speeding 26 miles per hour or greater over the limit.
• Police are investigating a burglary reported by Ronald Karst, of the 100 block of Sandlick Road.
Karst reported the burglary at 12:36 p.m. Monday. He told officers that sometime between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, someone entered his garage.
The perpetrator made off with an H&R .410-gauge single shot shotgun, four cans of beer and a can of Mountain Dew. Karst placed the value of the stolen items at $357.
