Today…

Aug. 13…The RADIANT RED HATS will meet Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Kentucky Dam Village in the private dining room for lunch and bingo.

Aug. 13…The Princeton Kiwanis Club meets Wed­nes­day at noon at the Majestic House.

Thursday…

Aug. 14…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SEN­IORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement. The activity is free.

Aug. 14…The FREDONIA CLOTHES CLOSET is open Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. at the Fre­donia First Baptist Church Family Life Center. (Old Fre­donia School, use double door entrance at the back of the building.) Any person in need of clothing is welcome. Also, the clothes closet is currently accepting clothing.

Aug. 14…The LYON County Fiscal Court meets Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Lyon County Courthouse.

Aug. 14…The Caldwell County WA­TER DISTRICT board of directors meets Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the district office at 118 W. Market Street. The meeting is public.

Aug. 14…The Caldwell County Free Clinic opens at 5 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Central Pres­by­terian Church.

Aug. 14…The Caldwell County Railroad His­torical Society meets Thursday at 6 p.m. at the railroad museum.

Friday…

Aug. 15…A reminder for all 1988 Caldwell County High School Alumni, the deadline for returning the 20-year reunion forms is Friday. If you have not received this mailing, the forms can be downloaded and printed on the www.cchs1988.com web site.

Saturday…

Aug. 16… “Through My Mother’s Eyes” a collection of photographs and multi-media presentations by photographer Darryl Armstrong is on display at the Princeton Art Guild through August. A reception for Armstrong is planned at the Guild Saturday, 3-5 p.m. The guild is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday…

Aug. 17…A Caldwell County Sportsman Club membership TRAPSHOOT is scheduled on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the sportsman range on U.S. 62-East.

Aug. 17…CELEBRATE RECOVERY, a Christian 12-step pro­­­gram for addiction co-dependency, any other hurts, habits and hangups is planned Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in the Northside Baptist Church Sanctuary. A meal is served and the group extends a welcome to all interested.

Monday…

Aug. 18…Caldwell County PRESCHOOL CLASSES will begin on Monday. Morning and afternoon sessions are held on Monday through Thursday.

Aug. 18…The PRINCETON CITY COUNCIL is scheduled to meet on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Tourist Welcome Center, adjacent to City Hall.

Aug. 18…Living Hope Pregnancy Care Ministry offers a PARENTING/PREGNANCY CLASS each Mon­day from 6:15-7:30 p.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Com­­munity Building at 108 W. Green St. Persons who want more in­formation can call Tajuana Davis at 388-0861.

Aug. 18…The Caldwell County BOARD OF EDUCA­TION meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the board annex meeting room.

Aug. 21…The Caldwell County REPUBLICAN WOMEN’S CLUB will hold their next regular meeting on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Majestic Steak House. Visitors are welcome to attend.

Aug. 23…A Founder’s Day COMMUNITY YARD SALE is planned on Saturday at the Eddyville City Park. There is no charge for participants. Persons who want more information can contact Nat Schofield at 388-9323.

Aug. 25…The LYON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION meets Monday at 7 p.m. in the District Conference Cen­ter.

Aug. 28…A BEEF FORAGE FIELD DAY is planned Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The group will meet at the old J-Mar parking lot on Hwy. 91 just before Rogers Group Quarry. Topics include Controlled Grazing and Stock­piling for winter grazing. The event is presented by the Caldwell/Lyon Cattlemen’s Association, Young Farmers Association and Caldwell County Extension Office. The Caldwell/Lyon Cattlemen’s Association will have its regular business meeting and meal after the field day at the UKREC. Aug. 30…The MISS CALDWELL COUNTY BLACK PATCH PAGEANT, MS. CALDWELL COUNTY BLACK PATCH PAGEANT AND MRS. CALDWELL COUNTY BLACK PATCH PAGEANT will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Butler Auditorium. Sept. 4…A Princeton GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP will begin on Thursday with meetings on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. in the basement of Ogden Methodist Church.
