A West Green Street man was arrested for criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and DUI after Princeton police investigated a complaint Sunday evening.
Officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of West Green Street at 7:02 p.m. Sunday after receiving report of an altercation.
Officers determined that 41-year-old Clifton G. McKinney and another individual had been in an argument and McKinney left, driving recklessly in his 1999 Dodge.
McKinney drove through the yard of a residence at 613 West Green St. and struck its central air conditioning unit, damaging it, police said.
McKinney then parked the vehicle and refused to comply with officers’ commands. He was taken into custody and jailed.
• Robert N. Campbell, 29, of North Jefferson Street, was arrested for DUI and fleeing and evading, first degree, at 11:36 p.m. Sunday.
Officers observed Campbell’s 1997 Dodge driving erratically on East Locust Street and attempted to stop the vehicle.
Police said Campbell then turned off his vehicle’s headlights and pulled into an alley in an attempt to avoid capture. He was lodged in the county jail.
• Police are investigating an act of vandalism reported by a Mechanic Street resident at 6:43 p.m. Friday.
Chancey M. Coleman told officers that the incident occurred sometime between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Caldwell County Hospital, where she works.
Someone reportedly broke one of her 1998 Plymouth’s taillight lenses and put a small dent in the vehicle while it was parked in the hospital lot.
• At 3:50 p.m. Friday, Margaret McNary, of Varmint Trace, reported a theft to police.
McNary told officers that sometime between 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, and noon Friday, Aug. 22, someone stole a custom belt buckle, valued at $50, from her purse.
