• Thursday, Sept. 4… HR Ministries presents Horse Whisperer Paul Dailey at the City-County Park. The event begins at 4:30 p.m., with free pony rides; music at 5:30 p.m., featuring The Farmers of West Paducah; and Dailey's performance at 6:30 p.m.

• Friday, Sept. 5… The annual Black Patch Parade begins at 5 p.m. in downtown Princeton. Lineup begins at 4:30 p.m. on the Butler West Main parking lot. U.S. Senior District Judge Edward Johnstone will serve as grand marshal.
• Friday, Sept. 5… The Alonzo Pennington Band will perform an outdoor concert downtown at 6 p.m., following the conclusion of the parade.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… Several area businesses will be holding special sales for Black Patch.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… The annual Black Patch Street Fair is being held in downtown Princeton with a variety of activities and events being held throughout the day.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… The Princeton Kiwanis Club Black Patch Pancake Breakfast is planned from 6:30 to 10 a.m. in the basement of Ogden Methodist Church.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… The Trail of Tears Walk begins at 8 a.m. at the Trail of Tears Park on East Washington and Edwards streets. Walkers will assemble at 7:30 a.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… A Black Patch Arts and Crafts Fair will be held in Big Springs Park.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… Caldwell County Animal Rescue will hold a series of activities. Activities begin at 9 a.m. on the lawn at City Hall. Activities include Caldwell County Animal Rescue T-shirts, with the new logo, for sale, handouts and information about the local group, a petting zoo, horseback rides, "build-a-pet," face painting and coloring station, and more.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… The Caldwell County American Red Cross Chapter will host a Preparedness Fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Princeton City Hall lawn and the adjacent section of East Main Street.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… The Caldwell County Republican Women's Club is sponsoring a Black Patch Dog Show at 9:30 a.m. on the Princeton City Hall lawn. Certificates and ribbons will be awarded to first and second place winners in 10 categories.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… The Knott House Museum offers free Black Patch Festival Tours from 1 to 5 p.m. The historic site is located at 302 Nichols St., and is on the National Register of Historic places. For more information contact, Director Yvonne Dodge at 270-365-5223.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… A Frisbee Contest is being held at First Baptist Church parking lot. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the contest begins at 10:30 a.m. Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place in each division. The event is sponsored by United Way of the Pennyrile and Quality Ford.
• Saturday, Sept. 6… A Black Patch Cruise-in is being held on the Farmers Bank parking lot from 3 to 9 p.m. The event is hosted by Lakeland Cruisers Car Club and sponsored by Farmers Bank and Trust Company. Featured will be rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks.
