Princeton police arrested a Stevens Avenue man on an assault charge after a traffic stop Sunday morning.
Officers arrested Michael T. Childress II, 22, at 3:30 a.m. on a charge of fourth-degree assault.
The arrest came after officers stopped a vehicle driven by Lindsey Storm for a traffic violation.
During the stop, Storm told officers that Childress, her boyfriend, had just assaulted her by slapping her in the face and ear during an argument.
The assault left red marks and caused some hearing loss, she stated.
Officers interviewed Childress at his residence. He was taken into custody and jailed after admitting to the assault.
• A complaint from Capitol Cinemas led to a North Donnivan Street man’s arrest Friday.
Lawrence W. Wyatt, 52, was arrested at 9 p.m. on a charge of alcohol intoxication.
Officers were informed that Wyatt was being loud and disrupting a movie while at the theatre. Wyatt, who was intoxicated, was taken into custody and jailed.
• Police are investigating a burglary reported at an East Green Street residence at 6:33 p.m. Saturday.
Leslie Utley told police that sometime between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., while she was away from the residence, someone forced open a window and entered the home.Utley said that the only thing she found missing was her prescription medicine.
