Caldwell County’s Jr. Pro football squads will kick off their conference schedule this Saturday with an afternoon and evening full of action at Tiger Stadium.
For the second straight year, Caldwell County will have a pair of teams in each age division in the six-team youth football circuit.
The Caldwell Gold squad will host Sturgis Saturday with the 3rd/4th grade game at 2 p.m. and the 5th/6th grade contest to follow.
The Caldwell Vegas Gold team will then take on Crittenden County, with the 3rd/4th grade teams to start things off at 6 p.m.
The local squads will face each other twice this season. The first of those meetings is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 26, which is an off night for the high school football Tigers. The two young Tiger teams will square off again on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
The league’s postseason Jamboree is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26, at Crittenden County’s Rocket Stadium.
