Monday…

Sept. 22…Five Caldwell County Primary School SBDM committees will meet Monday at 3 p.m. at the school. They are WELLNESS, SCHOOL RE­­LA­TIONS, LIT­ERA­CY, TECHNOLOGY and CURRICULUM com­mit­tees.

Sept. 22…The ROWLAND CEMETERY quarterly meeting has been rescheduled from Saturday, Sept. 27, to Monday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m. at the cemetery office. All interested persons are welcome.

Sept. 22…Jim Pearce Camp 2527, Sons of Con­fed­erate Veterans, meets Monday, at 7 p.m. at the George Coon Public Library.

Sept. 22…The LYON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION meets Monday at 7 p.m. in the District Con­ference Center. The board meets at the Middle School at 6:30 p.m., before the regular meeting, to view ACR issues.

Tuesday…

Sept. 23…Caldwell County FISCAL COURT meets Tues­­­day at 8 a.m. at the courthouse.

Sept. 23…The CLOTHING ROOM at First Baptist Church is open Tues­day, 8:30 to 11 a.m., in the fellowship hall off the Cave Street en­trance.

Sept. 23…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SEN­IORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement. The activity is free.

Sept. 23…Princeton Ro­ta­ry Club meets Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at the Majestic House. The club is accessible on the internet at http://www.princetonrotaryclub.org/.

Sept. 23…A BEEF CATTLE FIELD DAY is planned Tues­day, 1-7 p.m., at the UK Research and Education Center.

Sept. 23…CARLISLE ORANGE POST 116 AMERICAN LEGION and AUXILIARY meets Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the American Legion building on Cadiz Road.

Sept. 23…PRINCETON CHAPTER 315 EASTERN STAR will meet Tues­d­ay at the Masonic lodge hall for a stated meeting. Dinner is at 6 p.m. with the meeting at 7 p.m. The group urges all members to attend. The meeting agenda will include election of officers.

Sept. 23…CUB SCOUTS PACK 289 will have signup on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the LDS Church, 855 Hopkinsville St. Pack 289 has been in existence for 35 years. Boys do not have to be a member of the church to join the Pack.

Wednesday…

Sept. 24…The Princeton Kiwanis Club meets Wed­nes­day at noon at the Majestic House.

Sept. 24…GEORGE COON LIBRARY BOARD OF DI­­REC­TORS meets Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the library.

Sept. 24…ADSMORE MUSEUM BOARD OF DIREC­TORS meets Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the library.

Plan ahead…

Sept. 25…Caldwell County Animal Rescue meets Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Pennyrile Regional Training Center.

Sept. 26-27…The KUTTAWA HARVEST FESTIVAL is planned on Friday and Saturday at the Old Kuttawa Beach. Events Friday begin at 4 p.m. and activities start at 8 a.m. on Saturday and continue throughout the day with fireworks at 9 p.m.

Sept. 27…Lyon County Champions for a Drug-Free Kentucky is the sponsor for a car, truck and SUV cruise-in at the West KY Outlet Center Parking Lot in Eddyville on Saturday. The show is from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is the day of the show. Vehicle registration and attendance are free. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m. in both open class and under age 18 class. Live entertainment is planned. Additional sponsors are the Lyon County Chamber of Commerce, TLM Resolutions Multimedia and American National Insurance.

Sept. 29…The Princeton Electric PLANT Board of Directors meeting of Monday, Sept. 22, has been changed to Monday, Sept. 29, at 4:30 p.m. at the PEPB office on Legion Drive.

Oct. 2…A Caldwell County BLOOD DRIVE is planned by the Red Cross on Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, located at 300 W. Main St.

Oct. 2…Family Reading night is planned on Thurs­day at 5:30 p.m. at Caldwell County Primary School. The event features author Michael Shoulders, whose books will be for sale. He will autograph and personalize them. Refreshments will be available. All persons are welcome.

Oct. 4…The Caldwell County Hospital Auxiliary SECOND TIME AROUND and BAKE SALE fund-raiser is planned on Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. It will be at the Dottie McConnell residence, 303 Holly Lane.

Oct. 11…A HAM RADIO CLASS will be presented by the Princeton Ham Radio Club on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Caldwell County EMS Building. A test for technician license will be given at 4 p.m.

••If any person is MISSING A PET, contact the local ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER at 365-4652 or the CHRIS­­­­TIAN COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER (887-4175). Volun­teers and foster families are being recruited to assist the program locally. Staffed by volunteers, the Caldwell County Animal Res­cue facility, located between Food Giant and the ball fields on Cadiz Road, is open each Monday, Wednesday and Fri­day from 4-6 p.m.
