Equine DVD premiering locally today

“HorseSmarts: Essential Advice for Today’s Horse Owner,” a DVD produced by the Marvo Entertainment Group in Princeton for the Kentucky Horse Council, premiered Thursday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Among those on hand were: (from left) producer Sam Koltinsky, DVD presenter Dale Barnett, KHC Executive Director Ginny Grulke, KHC Director of Education and Welfare Essie Rogers, DVD presenter and KHC board member Bob Coleman, KHC board member Margie Stickney, Marvo videographer Tom Johnson and Marvo head of production Drew Hudgins. The DVD will have its local premiere today at 4 p.m. at the George Coon Public Library. The community is invited to attend the showing.

The George Coon Public Library will host the local premiere of “HorseSmarts: Essential Advice for Today’s Horse Owner,” a DVD produced locally by the Marvo Entertainment Group.

The premiere is scheduled for 4 p.m. today in the library auditorium.

The DVD, an hourlong informational presentation produced for the Kentucky Horse Council, is hosted by Hall of Fame jockey Chris McCarron.

It features a variety of information for both new and veteran horse owners alike.

The film is divided into 10 segments, on topics like horse selection, nutrition, hoof care, safety, veterinary care, trailer loading and transportation.

The video is scheduled to air on KET affiliates across the state starting next month.

The DVD premiered Thursday, April 23, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, in a ceremony attended by several local residents and Marvo supporters.

The community is invited to the library premiere.
