June 28…The Glenn’s Chapel United Methodist CHurch of Eddyville plans a celebration of the church’s 167th homecoming on Sunday. The Nashville group His Song will sing at 10 a.m. Former pastor Rev. Bill Taylor will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend the service and potluck meal at noon.

Monday…

June 29…The Princeton Electric PLANT Board of Directors is scheduled to meet on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the PEPB office on Legion Drive.

June 29…The Caldwell County Tiger Booster Club meets Monday at 5:15 p.m. at the fieldhouse. Officers are needed for the coming year.

June 29…The Caldwell County Demo­cratic Woman’s Club meets Mon­day at Pagliai’s Restaurant at 5:15 p.m.

June 29…The Caldwell County HOSPITAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS is scheduled to meet on Monday at 6 p.m. at the hospital board conference room.

June 29…A Red Cross BLOOD DRIVE is planned on Monday from noon to 6 p.m. at Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 303 Cassidy Ave.

Tuesday…

June 30…Caldwell County Hospital EXERCISE FOR SEN­IORS will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hospital basement. The activity is free.

June 30…Princeton Ro­ta­ry Club meets Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at the Majestic House. The club is internet accessible at http://www.princetonrotaryclub.org/.

June 30…The fifth in the five-session George Coon Library Summer Reading Program “Create It” is planned on Tuesday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. This session will be a Native American program with Barbara Gillihan.

June 30…A Summer Parenting Program sponsored by Living Hope Family Care Center in Princeton continues on Tuesday with the class Building Character and Values. Classes are offered free of charge on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Mary Jane Jones Center on Green Street. July 1…The LYON COUNTY MINISTERIAL ASSOCIA­TION is scheduled to meet Wednesday at 8 a.m. in the OK Patton Senior Citizens’ Center in Eddyville.

July 1…The Princeton Kiwanis Club meets Wed­nes­day at noon at the Majestic House.

Plan Ahead…

July 2…The FARMERS MARKET GRAND OPENING is planned on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at 326 S. Jefferson.

July 6…The Class of 1965 meets Monday at the Ma­­jes­tic House at 6 p.m. This is a fun time for class members, spouses, friends and children; everyone welcome.

July 7…The Caldwell County HIGH SCHOOL SBDM COUNCIL will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the high school library.

July 9…The SBA economic injury application deadline for damage associated with Tropical Storm Ike, Sept. 14-15, is Thursday for Private non-profit organizations in Caldewll, Lyon and 33 other Kentucky counties.

July 13…The CCHS guidance office will be closed from June 25 until July 13 for summer vacation. Registration for new students will begin July 13 when the guidance office reopens and parents can call 365-8055 at that time for further information. Schedules will be made available in late July.

July 23…The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture FIELD DAY will be held at the Research and Education Center on Thursday. The event is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering agricultural tours, exhibits and activities. It is open to the public.
