Dustin Bruce Stewart, 17, of Hopkinsville, died Thursday evening, June 25, 2009, of injuries received in a automobile accident on Cox Mill Road at KY 117.

Born Aug. 21, 1991, in Hopkinsville, a son of Danny Bruce Stewart and Barbie Jo Gannon Carvino, both of Hopkinsville, he was a laborer in construction-industrial and had just received his GED. He was a member of Beulah Hill Baptist Church in Dawson Springs.

Survivors in addition to his parents include a brother, Tony Mixon of Hopkinsville; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Patsy Stewart of Princeton; and maternal grandmother, Barbara Herrington of Hopkinsville.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at Lamb Funeral Home in Hopkinsville with the Rev. Jim Lantrip officiating.

Burial followed in Hamby Cemetery.
