Louise Thompson, 79, of Louisville, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 1 a.m. at her home, following a long illness.

Born June 11, 1930, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late Carmon and Edith Lowery Hobby, she was a retired restaurant line server and member of Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thompson.

Survivors include a son, Danny Pool of Louisville; a daughter, Jetta Thompson of Louisville; two grandchildren, Joey Crawford and Jayme Crawford; and a great-grandchild, Alysta Dunn.

Graveside services were conducted Monday, June 29, at 2:30 p.m. at Meeks Cemetery in Caldwell County with the Rev. Chris Turpin officiating.

Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Thompson.
