Nov. 24…Caldwell County FISCAL COURT meets Tues­day at 8 a.m. at the courthouse.

Nov. 24…The CLOTHING ROOM at First Baptist Church is open Tues­day, 8:30 to 11 a.m., in the fellowship hall off the Cave Street en­trance.

Nov. 24…The PACS/Frank P. Giannini Senior Center will host Thanksgiving dinner on Tuesday beginning at 11:30 a.m. Persons who want to attend are asked to call 365-7446 before Nov. 23 for reservations.

Nov. 24…American Legion Post 68 bingo is sche­duled every second and fourth Tuesday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m, for early bird at 6:30 p.m. and regular bingo at 7:30 p.m. The legion home is located at 373 Lake Shore Drive in Kuttawa. The kitchen opens at 5:30 p.m.

Nov. 24…The Carlisle-Orange AMERICAN LEGION POST AND AUXILIARY meets Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the post on Cadiz Street. All members are invited.

Nov. 24…The Lyon County Ministerial Asso­cia­tion will present a community-wide Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday. The service will be held at Kuttawa First Baptist Church, 316 Walnut Dr., at 7 p.m. As part of the service, an offering will be taken with the funds collected going to meet needs in the Lyon County community.

Nov. 24…EASTERN STAR Princeton Chapter 315 meets Tuesday at the Masonic Lodge Hall. A potluck supper is planned at 6 p.m. with the meeting at 7 p.m. The group urges all members to attend.

Nov. 25…The Princeton Kiwanis Club meets Wed­nes­day at noon at the Majestic House.

Nov. 28…A holiday CANDLELIGHT TOUR is planned at Adsmore Museum on Saturday from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Nov. 29…Kuttawa Baptist Church invites the community to a “Hanging of the Greens” service on Sunday at 6 p.m. The church is located at 316 Walnut Dr. Music and readings will be presented.

Nov. 30…The Caldwell County DEMOCRATIC WOMAN’S Club will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Pagliai’s Restau­rant. All members and interested persons are urged to attend. New officers will be installed and County Attorney Bridgie Miller will be the guest speaker.

Dec. 1…Caldwell County Animal Rescue is seeking crafters and artisans to participate in its first ever Christmas Bazaar. The event, which CCAR members hope will become an annual affair, is planned at Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church on Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Booth fees and proceeds of a silent auction will be used to benefit CCAR. Dec. 1…The Princeton Business and Profession­al Women’s Club will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Margaret Osting at 503 S. Jefferson St. for the annual Christmas potluck and ornament exchange.

Dec. 5…The 3rd annual FREE CLINIC “COOKIES FOR A CAUSE” COOKIE WALK is planned Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Princeton Tourist Center, 201 E. Main St. Homemade cookies will be sold at $5 per pound with proceeds to benefit the Caldwell County Free Clinic, Inc. The Free Clinic serves healthcare needs of individuals without medical insurance in Caldwell, Lyon, Crittenden counties and Dawson Springs.

Dec. 6…The Princeton Business and Professional Women’s Club annual Christmas Home Tour will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Homes featured include Phyllis Hoffman, Jim and Tracey Musgove, Pratt Bed and Breakfast, Bright Life Farms and the Princeton Art Guild.

Dec. 6…The annual ELKS MEMORIAL SERVICE is planned on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Princeton Elks Lodge #1115. All Elks and their families are invitied.

Dec. 13…The Princeton Community Christmas Concert is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church. The concert is open to any area musicians wanting to offer holiday selections. Those planning to participate should contact Dr. Jenny Franke at 365-1050 by Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Dec. 14…PRIVATE PESTICIDE APPLICATOR TRAINING is planned on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Caldwell County Extension office.

Dec. 20…The YVONNE DODGE STUDIO presents “Christmas at the Knott Museum” annual open house from 2-5 p.m. Musical performances and free admission to the gallery are open to the public.

F.Y.I. …

••The Caldwell County Recyc­ling Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Most household plastics, cans and glass items are accepted. The center will also accept computers, radios, TV sets and other electronic scrap. Bins have been installed for glass collection at the center, to allow clear glass and colored glass to be de­­posited separately.

The Caldwell County Animal Res­cue facility, located be­­tween Food Giant and the ball fields on Cadiz Road, is open Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon; additional hours on Wednes­day, 4-6 p.m., and Satur­day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The facility is closed to the public Sunday and Mon­day. ••The Glenn Martin Genealogy Library is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is located at the corner of South Harrison and West Main Streets in downtown Princeton.

NOW…Students at Caldwell County High School can pick up 2010 Governor’s Scholars Program applications in the high school guidance office. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Judy Edwards by 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2. To be eligible to apply, the student must be in the 11th grade, have taken the PSAT, SAT or ACT and have good academic standing.

ON GOING…Sign up for Upward Basketball or Cheerleading at Northside Baptist Church, 101 Dawson Rd., Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $55. For more information, call the church office at 365-6062.

Through December…The Princeton Art Guild VETERANS EXHIBIT in the Guild House Gallery is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through December. Military-inspired artwork, memorabilia, photography, regalia, medals, uniforms, documents and weaponry are displayed to honor the veterans.
