Princeton police officers are issuing an appeal to the community to help solve a strongarm robbery reported on South Seminary Street Thursday night.
The robbery was reported at about 9:55 p.m. Thursday, Assistant Chief R.L. Howton said.
Officers spoke with Harley Watson of South Darby Street and Matthew McGough of White Street.
The men reported that while they were walking in the 300 block of South Seminary Street, they were approached from behind by a black male, who grabbed McGough and demanded money.
McGough and Watson said the suspect was not armed but took an undetermined amount of money from McGough and a cell phone from Watson.

• Two teens are accused of stealing a pickup truck from a local business and wrecking it Tuesday night.
At 9:38 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on East Legion Drive.
Upon arrival, they found a 1992 Ford pickup owned by Lee Asher, of Marion Road, in a ditch.
Howton said investigation indicated the pickup had been taken from Baker Auto Care on East Legion Drive.
Police say two teens, aged 13 and 14, were in the vehicle at the time of the collision and fled the scene.
The juveniles reportedly contacted relatives, who transported them by private vehicle to Caldwell Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.
Both teens suffered cuts and bruises to their heads and faces.
On Wednesday, the teens were each charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking over $500. They were released to relatives.
More charges are possible in the ongoing investigation, Howton said.
• An Eddyville woman was arrested Thursday evening on a theft charge after a shoplifting complaint at Walmart.
Ashley A. Goldberg, 24, of Kenoak Drive, Eddyville, was arrested for theft by unlawful taking under $500 at 6:39 p.m.
Walmart loss prevention employees reported that Goldberg was observed concealing several items in her clothing.
The items taken included three DVDs, three video games, cosmetics, pencils and markers. They had a combined value of $167.29.
• Matthew E. Hawkins, 33, of Eddy Creek Church Road, was arrested Monday morning on a Trigg County warrant charging him with failure to appear. He was jailed.
• Jarrod R. Cooper, 19, of Flynn Ferry Road, Marion, was arrested and jailed at 10:42 a.m. Monday on a Hopkins County warrant charging him with failure to appear.
