More than $10,000 in hand tools and equipment reported stolen from a local business over the weekend has been recovered.
The burglary, from KC’s Custom Cabinets, was reported to Princeton police at 9:30 a.m. Monday by Kelly Crisp, the owner of the business.
Crisp said someone entered the shop, located at 79 Jeff Watson Road, sometime between Friday and Monday and stole a large amount of specialty tools used in cabinet-making.
Saws, sanders, drills, routers, staplers, vacuums, nailers and clamps were among the items taken.
Princeton officers, assisted by county sheriff’s deputies, found the stolen equipment at 4 p.m. Thursday in a field off McGoldrick Road, in the east end of the county near Dawson Springs.
Assistant Chief R.L. Howton said no charges have been filed, and the case remains under investigation.
