Willie Edward Jackson, 78


Willie Edward Jackson, 78, of Dawson Springs, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at 12:40 a.m. at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

A retired employee with 17 years of service with Speed Queen, member of Poole Missionary Baptist Church, a World War II U.S. Army veteran with 4-1/2 years service and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5359, he was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Lyon County, a son of the late Willie and Belle Goodrich Jackson.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Patton.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Audrey Ausenbaugh Jackson; a daughter, Wanda Faye Morris of Madisonville; a son, Jeffrey Dale Jackson of West Virginia; a grandson, Kevin Dwayne Morris; and a great-grandson, Hunter Matthew Morris.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 12, at 2 p.m. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs. The Rev. Jeff Graham will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs.

Pallbearers will be Frank Hunt, David Hunt, Willie Adams, Larry Ausenbaugh, Scotty Alexander and George Ausenbaugh.

Honorary bearers will be Kevin Dwayne Morris, Hunter Matthew Morris and Ray Morris.
