Shirley Gail Smith Cotton, 63, of Dawson Springs, died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at 9:25 a.m. at Hopkins County.
A 1959 graduate of South Hopkins High School, former employee at Enro Manufacturing in Madisonville, wife and mother, she was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Hopkins County, a daughter of the late Luther Elmer and Fannie Mae Bell Smith.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Exie Butler, Brenda Hartline and Ann Thompson; and three brothers, Tommy Smith, Billy Smith and Jackie Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Cotton; a daughter, Angela Dawn Wiley of Slaughters; three sons, Timothy Owen Cotton and Casey Lee Cotton, both of Dawson Springs, and Adam Kyle Cotton of Princeton; and two sisters, Delores Smith of Dawson Springs and Bobbie Utley of Greenville.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs.
The Rev. Bobby Sellers officiated the service for Mrs. Cotton, assisted by Danny Knott.
Burial followed in Union Temple Cemetery in Hopkins County.
Pallbearers were B.J. Cotton, Skylar Cotton, Scott, Chappell, David Wiley, Kent Workman and Benjy Chappell.
