Herbert L. McGregor, 71, of Ridgetop, Tenn., died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at Ridgetop Haven Nursing Home in Ridgetop, Tenn.
A U.S. Army veteran who served in Iceland, former employee at the Ford Glass Plant in Nashville, Tenn., and member of the Baptist faith, he was born April 30, 1933, in Hopkins County, a son of the late Charles and Verna Sworthard McGregor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace LaVonne “Donnie” McGregor; a brother, Arland McGregor; and two sisters, Francis Brandon and Dean Johnson.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Wilson of Springfield, Tenn.; a son, Tony McGregor of Greenbrier, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Mitch Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Daniel McGregor and Ben McGregor; and two brothers, Charles F. McGregor of Kentucky and Dennis McGregor of Nashville, Tenn.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs.
The Rev. Clifton Vandiver officiated the service for Mr. McGregor.
Burial followed in Ilsley Cemetery at Ilsley.
Pallbearers were Daniel McGregor, Mitch Wilson, Brandon Wilson and Ben McGregor.
