A homemaker and member of Northside Baptist Church, she was born July 19, 1917, in Trigg County, a daughter of the late Fred and Katherine Wood Wheeler

She was preceded in death by a son, Byron D. Egbert on Feb. 24, 2000; and a daughter, Sarah Cook in 1997.

Survivors include three sons, Don Egbert of Dawson Springs, Jim Egbert of Murray, and Ralph Egbert of Lexington; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a cousin, Robert Jewell Thomas of Paducah.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 17, at 11 a.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

The Rev. Tommy Tackett officiated the service for Mrs. Egbert.
