Our Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce is off to an exciting new year.

With members in five counties, we continue to grow and cover the Lake Barkley region.

Our mission continues to be “Leading our businesses in economic growth through leadership, education, advocacy, relationship development and innovation.”

We are pleased to announce the hiring of our new Executive Director, Wendy Baxter.

Wendy has a strong background in economic and community development.

She has also been heavily involved in marketing, event planning, chamber of commerce activities, and grant writing.

In addition, we are welcoming a number of new board members to our board of directors.

They are Danny Patton of Farmers Bank & Trust, Kelley Rushing, CEO of Caldwell Medical Center, and Teresa Young of Lyon County High School.

We have also elected new officers to lead us in the coming year. The new officers are: Katie Gibson, president; Jody Norwood, vice president; Gerry Aldridge, treasurer, and Judi Stone, secretary.

Each week our Chamber recognizes a business ‘Member of the Week’. These members are featured in a local newspaper ‘spotlight’ and are recognized through a video posted on our website, Facebook, and Youtube.

Our most recent businesses to be recognized were: Hu-B’s Off Shore Marine Sales and Service of Kuttawa, the Black Patch Grill of Princeton, and Coleman Shoes, Repair and Bootery, also of Princeton.

We would like to welcome our newest Chamber members, Eddyville Business Services and Tweakn’ Performance, LLC, of Eddyville, and Brantley Furniture of Princeton.

Please put our upcoming Chamber Golf Scramble on your calendar.

This year’s event will be held on Sept. 15 at Mineral Mound Golf Course in Eddyville, beginning with lunch at noon.
