Gerald Loton Burchett, 78, of Benton, and native of Caldwell County, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at his home.
A son of the late Vernon and Mary Lucille Hogan Burchett, he was a retired senior quality control for IBM for nearly 30 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Rivers, was past president of West Kentucky State Bee Keepers Association and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Adrian Burchett.
Survivors include his wife, Ermel Jean Gray; a daughter, “Natalie” Allie Parker of Grand Rivers; a grandson, Dillon Hughes and wife Amanda; two great-grandchildren, Piper Hughes and Landon Beavers; and a brother, Ralph Edward Burchett and wife Rhonda of Indiana.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. at Eddy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Caldwell County.
