Six defendants entered a guilty plea in Caldwell County Circuit Court on Tuesday, May 4, before Judge C.A. Woodall III.

Proceedings were as follows on the docket before Judge Woodall.

Guilty pleas

• Forrest Burton entered a guilty plea and was set for sentencing June 1 on first degree possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, buy/possess.

• Darlene Kellam entered a guilty plea and was set for sentencing June 1 on complicity to theft by unlawful taking/disposition shoplifting $500 or more but under $10,000.

• Sheila M. Doss entered a guilty plea and was set for sentencing June 1 on first degree promoting contraband, drug paraphernalia, buy/possess, first degree possession of methamphetamine, and illegal possession of a legend drug.

• Brian Keith Bourland entered a guilty plea, was granted probation on charges of third degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, amended from first degree, and theft by unlawful taking/disposition shoplifting under $500.

• Janice D. Harris entered a guilty plea, waived PSI and was sentenced to one year on first degree criminal mischief. In a second case, she entered a guilty plea, waived PSI and was sentenced to one year, one year and 12 months, respectively, on charges of first degree possession of methamphetamine, first degree promoting contraband, and drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. These two cases are to run concurrent for a total of one year, but consecutive to any time now being served.

• Shane Chaneyfield entered a guilty plea and had probation granted on third degree burglary.

• David Lee Buchanan was continued to June 1 for arraignment on receiving stolen property under $10,000. A summons is to be mailed.

• Dawson L. Close was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear with a cash bond of $3,000 and continued for arraignment to June 1 on second degree trafficking in a controlled substance, drug unspecified; third degree trafficking in a controlled substance, drug unspecified; trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces; drug paraphernalia, buy/possess; and failure to or improper signal.

• Rashad Lamar Coker was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear with no bond and continued for arraignment to June 1 on first degree possession of methamphetamine, no/expired other state registration receipt or plates, and operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license.

• Shannon M. Copeland was continued for arraignment Aug. 3 on third degree burglary.

• Michael B. Riley was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear with no bond and continued for arraignment June 1 on operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, first degree possession of methamphetamine, and first degree promoting contraband.

• David Maurice Watkins was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear with no bond and continued for arraignment June 1 on fourth degree assault, domestic, and first degree persistent felony offender.

• Henry Harris III was continued to June 1 for arraignment on theft by unlawful taking, all others $10,000 or more but under $1,000,000.

• Lee Ann Collins was continued for sentencing to June 1 on operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, first degree possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia,

buy/possess.

• Shelden Alicia Adams was continued to arraignment Aug. 3 on complicity to first degree possession of a controlled substance, drug unspecified, complicity to possession of marijuana, and tampering with physical evidence.
