Eleven defendants entered a guilty plea in Caldwell County Circuit Court on Tuesday, Sept. 7, before Judge C.A. Woodall III.

• Jessica D. McCurin entered a not guilty plea and was set for a pretrial conference Nov. 2 on failure to report change in order to receive benefits.

• Awstyn Gage Lamar entered a not guilty plea and was set for a pretrial conference Nov. 2 on speeding 26 miles per hour over the limit, first degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, and reckless driving.

• Brian P. Shelton entered a not guilty plea and was set for a pretrial conference Oct. 5 in two cases on two counts of first degree trafficking in methamphetamine, and two counts of second degree persistent felony offender.

Wells entered a not guilty plea and was set for a pretrial conference Nov. 2 in five cases on three counts of first degree possession of methamphetamine, three counts of drug paraphernalia, buy/possess, two counts of first degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and second degree possession of a controlled substance, drug unspecified.

• Rashad Lamar Coker had a bench warrant issued for failure to appear, with no bond on first degree possession of methamphetamine, no/expired other state registration receipt or plates, and operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license. Arraignment was set for Oct. 5.

• Michael Charles Bartee was issued a bench warrant with a cash bond of $2,500 and set for arraignment Oct. 5 on first degree possession of methamphetamine.

• Dalton James Fluaitt was issued a bench warrant with a $2,500 cash bond for failure to appear, and was set for arraignment Oct. 5 on first degree possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, buy/possess.

• Matthew Seth Oliver was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear with a $3,000 cash bond and set for arraignment Oct. 5 on unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first offense, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, first degree possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, buy/possess, and possession of marijuana.

• Andrew D. Smothers was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear with no bond. A pretrial conference was set for Oct. 5 on charges of second degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, two counts of third degree assault of a police/probation officer, and first degree persistent felony offender.

• Austin C. Watkins was issued a bench warrant with no bond for failure to appear and was set for a pretrial conference Oct. 5 on complicity to first degree trafficking in methamphetamine, complicity to possession of synthetic drugs, complicity to possession of marijuana, complicity to drug paraphernalia, buy/possess, no/expired registration plates, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, no operator’s/moped license, first degree promoting contraband, and first degree persistent felony offender.

• Angel Marie Burnett was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear with no bond.
