The Caldwell County Sheriff’s office reported the following activity.
• On Feb. 2, at approximately 10:20 p.m., the Caldwell County Sheriff’s office got a call for officers to go to Hwy. 293 North near the intersection of Clinton Perry Road in reference to a non-injury single motor vehicle accident. Upon arriving at the scene, the subject was located and following further investigation, Deputy Kenneth Vincent charged and arrested Shawn P. Caraway, 41, of Princeton, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first offense, driving on a DUI suspended license, first offense, leaving the scene of an accident — failure to render aid or assistance, wanton endangerment of a police officer, first degree, fleeing or evading police on foot, second degree, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Caraway was lodged in the Caldwell County jail.
• On Feb. 3, at 6:14 p.m., Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeremy Kolba was dispatched to Miller Street in Fredonia in reference to a custody dispute. Kolba charged and arrested Steven Ray Vinson, 29, of Fredonia, with menacing, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Vinson was lodged in the Caldwell County jail.
