The Caldwell County Grand Jury met May 7, and returned six felony indictments.

Jury action included:

• Darnetta V. Foster, 43, address unknown, was indicted on a charge of first degree promoting contraband. The incident occurred on or about Nov. 22, 2020.

• Kyle A. Lafoon, 24, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of possession of marijuana; possession of a controlled substance, first degree, methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on or about Feb. 9.

• Austin Robert Powell, 27, of Sturgis, was indicted on charges of DUI, first offense; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance, first degree, methamphetamine. The incident occurred on or abut Jan. 26.

• Steven J. Downs, 36, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of fourth degree assault, strangulation, first degree, and resisting arrest. The incident occurred on or about Feb. 15.

• Cole Duncan, 46, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of two counts of third degree burglary, and first degree persistent felony offender. The incident occurred on or about Jan. 14.

• William Franklin Guill, 46, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of promoting sex performance by a minor under 16; two counts of prohibited use of an electronic communications system to procure a minor, sex offense; and distribution of a obscene matter, more than one unit of matter. The incident occurred on or about Jan. 12.

The cases regarding the following were continued until the next session of the Grand Jury: Robert Butler, Harley Cansler, Courtney Davis, Austin Watkins, Kevin Hall, Matthew Jackson, Awstyn Lamar, Michael Martin, Matthew Oliver, Shelby Ray and Gerald Watson.
