The Caldwell County Grand Jury met Aug. 7, 2020, and returned 10 felony indictments, one misdemeanor indictment and one no true bill.

Jury action included

Rodney Ware, 55, of Princeton was indicted on charges of operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, subsequent offense, trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree — less than 2 grams methamphetamine, first offense stemming from an incident on March 30.

Angel Marie Burnett, 36, of Mayfield, was indicted on charges of DUI, first offense, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first offense, operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, theft by unlawful taking under $500, possession of drug paraphernalia of a controlled substance, first degree — methamphetamine, stemming from an incident on March 19.

Billy Don Waynick, 43, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of fourth degree assault and first degree strangulation, stemming from an incident on March 2.

Joseph C. Young, 28, address unknown, was indicted on second degree burglary, and two counts of first degree sodomy, stemming from an incident on June 24, 2019.

David Mitchell, 75, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of theft by failure to make required disposition $10,000 or more, stemming from an incident on or between March 1, 2018 and Feb. 1, 2019.

Eladio Casteneda, 39, of Marion, was indicted on charges of DUI, first offense, no/expired registration plates, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first offense, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, first degree — methampheramine, trafficking in a controlled substance — less than 2 grams methamphetamine, first offense, promoting contraband, first degree, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, persistent felony offender, first degree.

Johnathan Chase York, 35, of Marion, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance, first degree — methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from an indicent on Jan. 8.

James Glass, 34, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance, first degree — hydrocodone, and possession of marijuana stemming from a June 24 incident.

James Aaron Sutton, 34, of Princeton, was indicted on first degree sexual abuse, and second degree persistent felony offender stemming from an indicent on or between May 8, and May 17.

Lawrence Joseph Florentine, 53, of Rockhill, S.C., was indicted on a charges of murder, abuse of a corpse stemming from an incident on or between June 8 and June 13.

Rodney L. Franklin, 58, of Princeton, had a misdemeanor indictment returned for first degree criminal trespassing and terroristic threatening, third degree stemming from an incident on or about May 3.

Veronica Martinez, was no true billed on charges of third degree assault. The case was dismissed.

The cases regarding the following iwere continued until the next session of the Grand Jury: Perry Allen, Alfred Amara Jr., Shane Chaneyfield, Joe Ray Curnell, Janice Harris and Bruce McGillem were continued until the next meeting of the grand jury.
