Hole lot of fun

Rhett Miller and members of the Northside Baptist Church were instrumental in establishing the new disc golf course park in Princeton. Next to the school bus depot is a 9-hole course, which sits on church property. The recreational sport continues to grow in the Midwest and South. Miller said he felt inclined to introduce a new sport to Princeton residents. He encourages the community to check it out. The park opened this summer, and it is the only disc golf park in Caldwell County. The goal of the game is to toss the frisbee-like disc into the metal basket — it’s scored similar to traditional golf. The course is still being developed. “This disc golf course is purely a gift to the community to use as they wish,” Miller said.
