Bible study on 1 Peter offered at Ogden

Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church will host an eight-week Bible study series beginning Jan. 15.

An inter-denominational Bible study will be meeting on Wednesdays in the basement of Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church, 305 W. Main St., to study 1 Peter using Precept Ministries' inductive study materials.

1 Peter gives believers encouragement for standing firm in their faith when experiencing trials or suffering, and explains what God through Jesus has accomplished for believers and gives hope and instruction for successfully navigating through the rough times in life.

The eight-week study on 1 Peter will begin Jan. 15 with an option of a morning class meeting from 9-11:30 a.m. or an evening class meeting from 6-7:30 p.m. A homework discussion will be led by Susan Travis for both class times, and the morning class will include a DVD lecture by Kay Arthur.

Precept Ministries' inductive Bible study method is used across the U.S. and more than 150 countries. The in-depth studies are widely acclaimed for their practical, personal approach to Bible study.
