Shelia Brennan has been a staple at The Times Leader since May 2001.

"I started as a proofreader, but my duties also included editing pictures to be used in the paper," Brennan said.

As time went on, changes in technology and employee retirement enabled her to pick up additional duties, such as producing the daily Fax/Email newsletter, maintaining the paper's website, writing obituaries and gathering court information.

Recently, Brennan accepted the job of Office Manager.

"I know this will be a challenge -- but it is a challenge I am eager to embrace," Brennan said. "I look forward to serving the community in my new position."

Her vision moving forward is to produce the best possible product. She thinks with the community's support, this is doable.

"I would like to hear from you -- submit news to us, tell us ideas for stories, let us know what is happening in your church, club, business or neighborhood; submit engagements, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries," Brennan said.

She hopes to see the paper become a "community paper" that will give a lasting history of what happened in Princeton and Caldwell County during her time as a Times Leader employee.
