The Butler/Caldwell County Alumni and Friends will be have its reunion. The reunion will take place on the Butler Campus, with a meeting in the Butler Alumni Auditorium and lunch, catered by Knoth’s Bar-B-Que, in the Butler Gym. The speaker for this event will be Justice Lisa Hughes.

A combined class reunion for the Caldwell County graduating classes of 1978, 1979, 1980, and 1981 will be held Saturday, September 7, at the Lee S. Jones Building in Eddyville at 4 p.m., with class pictures being taken at 5 p.m., and BBQ from The Joint served at 5:30 p.m.

An informational meeting regarding Seminary Extension classes will be held Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Caldwell/Lyon Baptist Association. The meeting is for everyone interested in taking the classes, which will begin Tuesday, Sept. 17. Bro. Ken Cummins will be leading the classes.

The Caldwell County Conservation Board is having a Special Called Meeting on Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. The Special Called meeting will be held at the Majestic House.

A minister’s fellowship is set for Monday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Caldwell/Lyon Baptist Association. Ministers are invited to meet at 11 a.m. for a time of fellowship and prayer. Both active and retired ministers are welcome. Lunch will follow at a local restaurant.

A prayer walk is planned at the Caldwell County High School on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1:30 p.m. Everyone invited to participate.

The Mitchell-Purdy Family Reunion will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Dawson Springs community Center.
