Kentucky Agriculture Training School (KATS) will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Aug. 22, at the University of Kentucky Research and Education Center, located at 1205 Hopkinsville St. in Princeton. VFW Post 5595, will hold a fish fry Saturday, Aug. 31, from 2-5:30 p.m. at the post, located at 121 E. Main St. in Princeton. It will include two fish fillets, hushpuppies, cole slaw and white beans for $10. The public is welcome to attend. Call in orders will be available by calling the post at 270-365-3060. All proceeds will go towards helping local veterans in our community.

The Butler/Caldwell County Alumni and Friends will be have its reunion on Sept. 7. The reunion will take place on the Butler Campus, with a meeting in the Butler Alumni Auditorium and lunch, catered by Knoth's Bar-B-Que, in the Butler Gym. The speaker for this event will be Justice Lisa Hughes.
