The Community Disciples held its 15th annual banquet on Thursday, Aug. 1, to kick off Dotson Days.
Seth Scott, Caldwell County High School graduate, was the scholarship recipient. He plans to attend the University of Kentucky to pursue a degree in business.
"His ultimate goal is to attend law school," Lisa Moore of the Community Disciples said.
The Business Community Partner Sponsor was awarded to Newsom's Old Mill Store. Nancy Mahaffey, store owner, accepted the award.
The unsung hero award was given to Kim Farmer, and the Citizen of the year was awarded to Ken Godshall.
Dr. Alissa Young, President and CEO of Hopkinsville Community College, was the guest speaker for the night.
