The Dotson Days community festival kicked off on Thursday, Aug. 1 with the Community Disciples 15th annual banquet. Members of the community were honored during the ceremony. The festivities continued on Friday with free school supplies, youth basketball, a bike safety program, a corn hole tournament, an alumni meet and greet and music in the park.

On Saturday, things got started with bingo at the park pavilion and a seven-on-seven basketball tournament. They continued with a Dotson program: History of Black Business, Thrive 450 exercise unit demo, co-ed kickball and more music in the park.

Dotson Days ended on Sunday, Aug. 4, with a Church Worship service in the park by Pastor Pat Major.

The event was sponsored by the Dotson Park Board; they partnered with the Community Disciples.
