First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Princeton will be hosting an installation and reception for a new pastor at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at 510 Hopkinsville Road.

Rev. Dr. Jonathan Webster began his ministry at FCC Princeton on Sept. 3. Dr. Webster recently took early retirement from Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg, Virginia, after 25 years of service as a board-certified chaplain.

Along with extensive pastoral care experience, Dr. Webster brings a wide range of expertise in church relations (local and regional), higher education (teaching) and medical ethics to FFC Princeton.

Rev. Doug Bird, Dr. Webster's uncle, will provide the message. Elder Steve Meadows, Board Chair Jennifer Werstein and Search and Call Chair Tammie Saunders will be participating in the service.

Also participating will be Rev. Dean Phelps, Interim Regional Minister for the Christian Church in Kentucky; Rev. Rachel Nance Woehler, Transitional West Area Minister of the Christian Church (DOC) of Kentucky; Rev. Ken Godshall, Central Presbyterian Church Princeton; and Rev. Dennis Gray, Second Christian Church Mayfield.

There will be a reception to follow.
