Elizabeth Jane Rogers of Lyon County was arrested Friday by the Kentucky State Police on charges of theft of identity of another without consent and criminal possession of forged instruments, first degree.
KSP was tipped off on Rogers' suspicious activity by several members of the community. She used the aliases Jane or Janie Egbert, Elizabeth J. Egbert, Janie Rogers, and Elizabeth Jane Egbert-Rogers throughout the community.
Upon investigation, they discovered Rogers had used her daughter, Kelley Egbert, and other family members personal information to secure financial loans without their consent.
They found that she also allegedly forged documents while operating the Smoke Shack in Eddyville.
She was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. Detectives believe additional charges will come forth in the ongoing investigation.
