West Kentucky Community and Technical College recognized more than 175 candidates for graduation who participated Dec. 16 in its Fall Commencement Ceremony at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center.

More than 1,000 WKCTC students were conditionally eligible to receive one or more associate degrees, diplomas or certificates.

In addition to the candidates for graduation, more than 40 students received nursing pins during the ceremony. Dr. Patrick Withrow, director of outreach and physician advisor for Baptist Health Paducah, was the featured speaker.

WKCTC graduates Madison Buzanis of Hickory and Tevin Phelps of Clinton were the student commencement speakers.

• Cora Fraliex, an associate in arts degree with distinction having a grade point average of 3.4-3.5.

• Kathryn Brown, an associate in applied science degree in the business administration program with high distinction having a grade point average of 3.6-4.0.

• Olivia Baker, an associate in applied science degree in the nursing program.

• Taylor Mitchell, an associate in applied science degree in the physical therapist assistant program.

• Bailey Brasher, a certificate in the administrative office technology program.

• Breanna Springfield, a certificate in the administrative office technology program.
