Seniors start, end with parade

Fredonia Valley-area seniors from three high schools, including Caldwell County High School, were honored Saturday night with a parade through Fredonia. An isolated downpour did not dampen the spirits of a resilient Class of 2020 that was forced under the cloud of the COVID-19 pandemic to end their compulsory education unlike any group of seniors before them. The parade kicked off a week of festivities honoring graduating Tigers that continued Sunday with a virtual baccalaureate service, a virtual “final walk” on Monday, virtual class night Tuesday and concludes with a Parade of Seniors through Princeton beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday that will end at the high school, offering each graduate the opportunity to walk on stage to receive their diploma.
