After a tough season opening loss to UHA, the Tigers were back on top with a 62-45 win over Ballard Memorial in Princeton last Thursday night.
Jabrion Spikes put up 7 of his 18 points in the first quarter to add to the Tigers 17-5 run in the first quarter.
Demarius Thompson and Collin Whittington nailed back-to back 3’s to extend the Tigers lead, 23-8. Back-to-back buckets from the block closed out the second quarter with the Tigers leading, 32-18.
Spikes put double digits on the board to give Caldwell a 50-27 lead closing out the third quarter.
Jack Englebright and Collin Whittington opened the fourth quarter with back-to-back 3’s, giving the Tigers their biggest lead of the night, 56-27. A late run by the Bombers finished out the night 62-45, giving Caldwell its first win of the season.
Spikes led the Tigers overall scoring efforts with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Dewey Riley added a combined 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Tigers as well.
Caldwell shot 42% from outside the arc knocking down 8 of 19 3’s but only shot 45% overall. Collin Whittington led the Tigers going 3-for-5 from behind the 3-point line, finishing with 11 points and 3 rebounds.
