Anita Sue James, 53, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at the Caldwell Medical Center. She was a homemaker, a blood program chairperson for the American Red Cross for 30+ years and had previously been assistant manager for the Princeton Wal-Mart.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas James; daughter, Kelly James; mother, Betty Sue George Cartwright of Eddyville; brother, Dennis Cartwright of Princeton; and nephew, Shelby Cartwright.

She is preceded in death by her father, Shelby McKinley (Red) Cartwright; sister, Tina Lou Cartwright; paternal grandfather, Louis Shelby Cartwright; paternal grandmother, Sarah Edna Faughn Cartwright; maternal grandfather, Chester Robert George; and maternal grandmother, Dimple Dale MCaslin George.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. John Hagan officiating. Burial followed in the White Sulphur Church Cemetery.
